Things to consider before decied desktop mother board fail

As a computer hardware technician or a computer tech guy you have to consider many reasons before deiced a mother board fail.

1. Check the power supply with a power supply tester.
2. Check RAM cards (unplug all RAM cards and test MB with a working RAM)
3. Change the BIOS Battery.
4. Unplug all disk drives and devices connected to mother board and check.
5. Remove the power button cable and short the power button pins on mother board and check. With a bad power button nothing will work.
6. Finally change the processor and check.  but remember processors burn rarely.   

After the above mentioned diagnosis will not work you can decide a mother board as a failure mother board.
